The small family owned company created this on-line store because of their passion for horses and trail riding in the mountains. The staff of Mountain Horse, Inc. realized that they found an escape from the stress of daily life when riding their horses and want to provide products that assist horse owners with enjoying their horses and the outdoors. “Even an hour ride after work is enough to take my mind off everything stressful in my life even if it was just for that hour. It's my therapy,” says Melissa Sipe. "And being able to get out on a mountain trail for a weekend or week long camping trip is even better!" On his tour in Great Falls, Montana recently, renowned horseman and teacher Pat Parelli asked a large crowd attending the tour, “How many of you think that horses are good therapy for humans?” The entire crowd raised their hand or nodded their heads. We at Mountain Horse do saddle tree fittings on our own horses and ride in our Mountain Horse Saddles! Below is our 5 year old registered QH gelding, Tango. Through the tree fitting, we discovered that this registered Quarter horse with his stocky build and big shoulders actually fit most comfortably in a 7" gaited saddle with the bars/skirts shortened. This Bozeman Gaited saddle has the upgraded pecan leather with a full coverage basketweave and rose tooling, slotted silver conchos and black saddle strings. We liked the golden tan of the pecan leather with Tango's golden bay color and the black seat and black accents match his black mane, legs and tail. Saddle pad is a EquiPedic Western Reiner/Roper and Tango also has a black Mountain Horse trooper breast collar.
