Our standard saddle leather is what all saddles are pictured with unless otherwise stated. Our leather is thick, heavy and durable- this is not the cheap foreign junk you see on so many "cheap" saddles.
Colors shown from left to right: brown, black, lite oil and mahogany. We now also have a dark brown/chocolate color available in the standard leaather.

Upgraded soft leather is available on ALL of the Mountain Horse saddles as a $100.00 upgrade. It goes through a much more intense tanning process and the dye is applied as part of the tanning process. The result is a softer, more supple leather that cuts down the "breaking in" time on your new saddle to almost no time at all! The dye job is superior to our standard leather also.

Hand Carving and Leather Tooling
We have the ability to 100% hand-carve any leather saddle, and we also can border tool all edges of the saddle. Samples shown below:
